The Fit Survey
Where your experience
shapes the research.
The Fit Survey is where your lived experience becomes data. It’s a detailed online questionnaire (takes under 10 minutes) exploring how garments fit your body, which areas cause the most difficulty, and what standard sizing gets wrong for you.
You complete it in your own time, before the scanning event. The questions cover everything from how you experience fit across different garment types, to your body proportions, lifestyle, and what matters most to you when shopping for clothes.
Your survey responses are stored securely in your HeraVita profile and linked to your scan data, so when we analyse results, the measurements and the lived experience sit together. That’s what makes this research meaningful.

Step Two
The 3D Body Scan
Seconds to scan.
Yours to keep.
The scan event is where everything comes together. You’ll book a 15-minute slot at one of our events in your location. On arrival, you’ll check in using your personal QR code (sent to your HeraVita profile and by email before the event), and a friendly staff member will guide you to the scanner in a private room.
The scan itself takes just a few seconds. No images are captured. The 3D body scanner uses infrared sensors. The system generates a precise set of measurements and optional wellness metrics. Afterwards, your personal body profile is delivered directly to your private and personal HeraVita profile, where it’s yours to view, use, and keep.
Your QR code is your anonymous identifier. The scanner only ever sees your unique code, never your name or personal details. The connection between your scan and your identity is held securely within HeraVita’s systems and used only to deliver your results to your account.
To secure your appointment, a $50 deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is fully redeemable on arrival, exchanged for an exclusive welcome gift of HeraVita merino wool socks and a silk hair scrunchie, available only at scan events and not yet available anywhere else. Consider it your first introduction to what we create.

The survey is completely free. Booking your 3D body scan requires a $50 deposit, which is fully redeemable on arrival, exchanged for your exclusive welcome gift of HeraVita merino wool socks and a silk hair scrunchie. Your time and your data are your contribution. Your personal body profile and welcome gift are our thank you.
The 3D body scanner uses 18 infrared sensors arranged in a circular frame. You stand in the centre for a few seconds while the sensors capture the shape of your body, similar to a hands-free 3D camera. There are no X-rays, radiation, or any physical contact involved. The scanner generates body measurements and a 3D avatar from the captured data. The avatar is a single colour and looks similar to a fabric mannequin. No photographs or images of you are taken.
Form-fitting clothing gives the most accurate measurements: activewear, a swimsuit, or fitted underwear all work well. If you prefer, you’re also welcome to scan without clothing. Because no photographs or images of you are taken. Only a single-colour 3D mannequin is generated, so there is nothing identifiable captured.
We’ll send specific guidance in your pre-event reminder email, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before you arrive.
Before the event, you’ll receive a unique personal QR code, both in your private and personal HeraVita profile and by email. On the day, a staff member scans your QR code to activate the scanner for your session. That’s all there is to it.
Your QR code is yours to keep. If you attend a future HeraVita scanning event, the same code will be used, so your measurements can be tracked over time if you choose.
The scan itself takes just a few seconds. Allow around 10–15 minutes in total for check-in, getting changed, the scan, and confirming your QR code and account details before you leave.
Yes. The scanner is an enclosed booth. No other participants or staff can see inside while you’re being scanned. A HeraVita team member will be close by if you need anything, but the scan itself is entirely private.
No. You can participate fully through the survey only. Completing the survey earns you HeraVita Insider status and early collection access. The 3D scan is an additional step that unlocks your full personal body profile and Founding Member status.
A $50 deposit is required when you book your scan appointment. It is fully redeemable on arrival, exchanged for a HeraVita merino wool socks and a silk hair scrunchie. These products are first available at scan events. The deposit is non-refundable if you do not attend your appointment without notifying us in advance.
We’re scheduling scan events across Australian states. Complete the survey and we’ll notify you as soon as events are confirmed in your location. You’re not committing to anything by joining.
After your scan, your detailed body measurements and optional wellness metrics will be available in your private and personal HeraVita profile, yours to keep and use however you like, including when shopping online so you can compare your measurements to a garment’s before you buy.
When HeraVita garments become available, your measurements will allow us to identify the HeraVita size that fits your body specifically, so you can shop with confidence, knowing your size before anything arrives at your door.
We collect two types of information:
- Survey responses: your lifestyle, clothing fit experiences, and body proportions, shared through our online survey before the event.
- Body scan data: height, weight, detailed body measurements, and a 3D avatar captured by the scanner at the event. No photographs or images of you are taken.
We don’t collect government identification, financial details, or anything unrelated to fit and sizing research.
Your scan data is anonymised before it enters the research dataset. HeraVita uses aggregated, anonymised data to build sizing standards. We are interested in patterns across many bodies, not individual profiles. Your personal measurements are stored separately in your private and personal HeraVita profile. If you opt in for the Wellness Metrics they’re dynamically calculated in your personal HeraVita profile.
Your scan is associated with your unique QR code (a randomly generated identifier) rather than your name or email address. The scanner and the technology that processes your measurements only ever see this anonymous code. The connection between your QR code and your identity is held securely within HeraVita’s systems, and used only to deliver your results to your account.
HeraVita’s research interest is in aggregate patterns: how women’s bodies vary across the population, and what that means for garment design, not in any individual’s measurements. Your data contributes to a much bigger picture.
Only you and the HeraVita research team. Your results are delivered to your private and personal HeraVita profile and are not visible to other participants or shared with external parties outside the purposes described in our consent form.
Your data is held across several secure platforms. We’re required under Australian privacy law to disclose when data is stored or accessible overseas, so here is a full list:
- Body scan data: stored by our scanning technology provider on Amazon Web Services servers located in South Korea.
- Contact information, survey responses, and scan results: stored in our systems: Shopify (USA/Canada), Klaviyo (USA), Typeform (USA/EU), Make.com (EU/USA), and Acuity Scheduling (USA).
Each platform operates under its own data protection standards. We have agreements in place with our key vendors to ensure your data is handled appropriately.
Never. We do not sell, share, or licence your data to any third party under any circumstances. Your body measurement data is used solely for HeraVita’s garment sizing research. This is a contractual commitment, not just a policy statement.
We retain your data only for as long as it is needed to fulfil the research purposes described above, and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. You can request deletion at any time.
Yes, at any time. Email us at info@heravita.com.au and we will remove your information from all systems we control and request deletion of your scan records from our scanning technology provider. We will confirm deletion across all platforms within 3 business days.
Yes, at any time and without needing to give a reason. Simply contact us and we’ll remove you from all communications and delete your data on request. Withdrawing has no negative consequences.
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections if anything is inaccurate, and lodge a complaint if you believe your privacy has been mishandled. To make any such request, email us at info@heravita.com.au.
