Our Story
It began with a need to understand more.
Listening to Midlife Women & Beyond.
HeraVita was created from lived experience, unanswered questions and a growing belief that women deserve a richer understanding of their bodies through midlife and beyond.
Nicole Cassey, Founder
I didn't set out to build another women's health brand. I set out to understand what was happening to my own body.
Like many women, I noticed changes that couldn't be explained by a single number. My body shape was changing. My clothes fitted differently. My strength, body composition and overall wellbeing were changing too.
The more I searched for answers, the more I realised how difficult it can be for women to see those changes clearly, track them over time or understand how they relate to the broader transitions of midlife.
My perspective was also shaped by watching people I love navigate complex health conditions across a fragmented healthcare system. Time and again, I saw women and families trying to connect information from different specialists, tests and appointments, yet rarely receiving a complete picture. That stayed with me.
I didn't build HeraVita because I had all the answers. I built it because, like so many women, I was searching for them.
HeraVita was born from a simple belief: women deserve better information about their bodies.
Not information that judges us or reduces us to a single number, but meaningful insights that help us understand change, ask better questions and make more informed decisions about our health and wellbeing.
By bringing together advanced 3D body data, women's lived experience, research, healthcare collaboration and education, HeraVita is building evidence first and allowing future innovation to follow.
This work is deeply personal to me, but I believe its greatest impact will be helping more women feel informed, understood and empowered through every stage of midlife and beyond.

Why HeraVita Exists
Women notice change. Too often, they lack the information to understand it.
Weight may change significantly, slightly or not at all. But weight is only one measure.
Women are living longer than ever before, yet many will spend around one-third to one-half of their lives after the onset of perimenopause. Despite this, many navigate decades of hormonal change, shifting body composition and complex health conditions with surprisingly little personalised information.
Understanding these changes is one of the greatest opportunities to improve women's health, wellbeing and quality of life for future generations.
Throughout midlife, women may experience changes in body shape, muscle, fat distribution, posture, strength, fluid balance, fit and overall wellbeing.
A single number cannot explain where change is occurring, how body proportions are shifting, whether muscle is being maintained or how a woman's body is evolving over time.
That's why HeraVita exists — to create a richer picture of women's health through better data, deeper understanding and evidence built from women's lived experience.
The Research
Building evidence where more understanding is needed.
HeraVita is building a growing Australian dataset focused on women through midlife and beyond. By bringing together consistent 3D body measurements, fit information and women's lived experiences across different ages, life stages and health journeys, we aim to build a richer understanding of how women's bodies change over time.
The value is not simply in an individual scan. It lies in what we can learn by listening to hundreds of women, identifying patterns, tracking change over time and building evidence that can support future research, education, healthcare conversations and innovation.
Every participant contributes to a growing body of evidence while receiving meaningful insights into their own body.
- 500+ Women HeraVita aims to recruit
- 250+ Measurements captured per scan
What Women Receive
Research participation with personal value.
Every woman who participates in HeraVita contributes to a growing body of research while receiving meaningful insights into her own body.
Depending on the HeraVita Experience, participants can receive a Body Profile™, Fit Measurements, a Wellness Snapshot™, trend tracking and opportunities for education, community and connection.
Rather than focusing on a single number, HeraVita is designed to help women better understand how their bodies change over time and support more informed conversations about their health and wellbeing.
More than a research study
A growing women's health ecosystem.
HeraVita is bringing together women with lived experience, healthcare professionals, allied health practitioners, wellness providers, researchers, universities, technology specialists and product innovators.
Each group sees a different part of the picture. HeraVita's role is to help connect those perspectives and create opportunities for better understanding, collaboration and innovation.
From Research to Innovation
Research first. Innovation follows.
HeraVita began with a simple question: Could better body data help create better-fitting apparel for women?
That question sparked a much bigger journey. As HeraVita evolved, it became clear that the insights gained from women's bodies could extend far beyond apparel.
The evidence generated through HeraVita has the potential to inform women's health research, education, longitudinal body tracking, healthcare conversations, product innovation and natural-fibre apparel designed using collective insights from real women's bodies.
Every innovation begins with listening, learning and building evidence. By understanding how women's bodies change through midlife and beyond, HeraVita aims to support future solutions that are grounded in real data and women's lived experiences.
HeraVita does not create custom garments for individual participants. Where apparel is developed, it will be informed by collective, de-identified research insights to improve sizing, fit and comfort for women more broadly.
Our Principles
What we stand for is reflected in how we work.
Evidence Before Assumption
We begin by listening, measuring and learning. Our decisions are guided by evidence, curiosity and women's lived experiences—not assumptions.
Dignity and Privacy
A body assessment is personal. Every participant deserves to feel respected, safe and informed, with their information handled securely and in accordance with consent and privacy requirements.
Women as Partners
Women are not simply participants in the research—they are partners in shaping it. Their questions, experiences and priorities help guide what HeraVita explores.
Collaboration Over Silos
Women's health is complex and no single discipline has all the answers. HeraVita brings together women, clinicians, allied health practitioners, researchers, educators and innovators to build a more connected understanding.
Understanding Over Judgement
The purpose is not to tell women what their bodies should look like. It is to help them better understand the bodies they have, recognise change over time and feel more informed about their health and wellbeing.
Responsible Innovation
Innovation should always be grounded in genuine need, credible evidence and thoughtful collaboration. Research comes first. Innovation follows.
