Take Part in Our Fit Research
While you’re with us, you can contribute to the HeraVita Fit Survey, sharing your lived experience of clothing and fit alongside relevant context such as life stage, movement and wellbeing. Your responses help us understand what measurements alone can’t tell us and contribute to how we design better for women.
If you purchase a $110 baseline scan, the Fit Survey is entirely optional. If you choose to complete it, you’ll receive a pair of HeraVita merino wool socks and a silk hair scrunchie, valued at $55, as our thank you for contributing to the research.
If you receive a complimentary research scan, completing the Fit Survey is part of the complimentary scan offer. An additional product gift is not included.

A private and respectful setting
Your scan takes place in a dedicated private space within the HeraVita Discovery Centre. You are alone in the scanner, with privacy to prepare before your scan.
Simple preparation and clothing guidance
We’ll let you know what to wear and how to prepare before you arrive. Fitted clothing helps us capture the most accurate measurements, and you may be asked to remove outer layers, shoes, jewellery, watches or other items before scanning.
A 3-second scan
The scan itself takes just three seconds. Allow around 15 minutes for your appointment, with time to arrive, settle in and ask questions.
Your data, clearly explained
You’ll receive your HeraVita Body Profile™ and Fit Measurements, with the option to receive your Wellness Snapshot™ featuring more than 37 women-specific body composition and wellness metrics.

The HeraVita Fit Survey
Your experience can help us design better for women.
The HeraVita Fit Survey helps us understand what measurements alone can’t tell us: how clothing fits, where it doesn’t, and how women experience fit across different bodies and life stages.
The survey explores your lived experience of clothing and fit, alongside relevant context such as life stage, movement and wellbeing. Together with anonymised sizing data, these insights help us build a better understanding of women’s bodies and inform how we design for women.
You can complete the survey while relaxing in the HeraVita lounge before or after your scan, or in your own time.
If you purchase a $110 baseline scan, taking part in the Fit Survey is entirely optional. As a thank you for contributing to our research, women who complete the survey will receive a pair of HeraVita merino wool socks and a silk hair scrunchie, valued at $55.
From time to time, we may offer complimentary baseline scans to support our research. Where a scan is offered on this basis, completing the Fit Survey is part of the complimentary scan offer, and an additional product gift is not included.

If something in your results raises a question or concern, you may choose to discuss it with your GP or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Your participation matters to us, and so does your comfort with the process. If something isn't answered here, reach out directly.
The 3D body scanner uses 18 infrared sensors positioned within a rectangular scanning frame. You stand in the centre for just three seconds while the sensors capture data about the shape and dimensions of your body.
There are no X-rays, radiation or physical contact, and no photographs or images of you are taken.
The scanner uses the captured data to generate more than 250 body measurements and a 3D avatar. The avatar is a single-colour digital representation of your body, similar in appearance to a fabric mannequin. It is not a photograph or image of you.
Form-fitting clothing gives the most accurate measurements: activewear, a swimsuit, or fitted underwear all work well. If you prefer, you’re also welcome to scan without clothing. No photographs or images of you are taken, and only a single-colour 3D mannequin is generated, so there is nothing identifiable captured.
You will be asked to remove outer layers, shoes, jewellery, watches or other items before scanning.
We’ll send specific guidance when you book, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before you arrive.
Before the HeraVita Experience, you’ll receive a unique personal QR code, both in your private and personal HeraVita profile and by email. On the day, a staff member scans your QR code to activate the scanner for your session. That’s all there is to it.
Your QR code is yours to keep. If you attend a future HeraVita scanning event, the same code will be used, so your measurements can be tracked over time if you choose.
The scan itself takes just a few seconds. Allow around 15 minutes in total for check-in, getting changed (if required), the scan, and confirming your QR code and account details before you leave.
Yes. The scanner is an enclosed room. No other participants or staff can see inside while you’re being scanned. A HeraVita team member will be close by if you need anything, but the scan itself is entirely private.
We are scheduling HeraVita Experiences across Australia. Join the waitlist on the events page and we will let you know as soon as dates are confirmed near you. Joining does not commit you to anything.

After your scan, you’ll receive your HeraVita Body Profile™ and Fit Measurements in your private HeraVita account, yours to keep. You can also choose to receive your Wellness Snapshot™, with more than 37 women-specific body composition and wellness metrics.
Your fit measurements can help you better understand your body when choosing clothing, including comparing your measurements with garment size guides when shopping online.
Your baseline also gives you something to compare against. If you return for future scans, you’ll be able to see how your measurements and, if selected, wellness metrics change over time, rather than relying on weight or a single number on the scales.
As HeraVita develops its own garments, the sizing data we are building with women will help us design around real women’s bodies and real fit experiences, rather than assumptions about what a standard body should look like.

We collect two types of information:
- Survey responses: your lifestyle, clothing fit experiences, and body proportions, shared through our online survey before the HeraVita Experience.
- Body scan data: height, weight, detailed body measurements, and a 3D avatar captured by the scanner at the HeraVita Experience. No photographs or images of you are taken.
We don’t collect government identification, financial details, or anything unrelated to fit and sizing research.
Your scan data is anonymised before it enters the research dataset. HeraVita uses aggregated, anonymised data to build sizing standards. We are interested in patterns across many bodies, not individual profiles. Your personal measurements are stored separately in your private and personal HeraVita profile. If you opt in for the Wellness Metrics they’re dynamically calculated in your personal HeraVita profile.
Your scan is associated with your unique QR code (a randomly generated identifier) rather than your name or email address. The scanner and the technology that processes your measurements only ever see this anonymous code. The connection between your QR code and your identity is held securely within HeraVita’s systems, and used only to deliver your results to your account.
HeraVita’s research interest is in aggregate patterns: how women’s bodies vary across the population, and what that means for garment design, not in any individual’s measurements. Your data contributes to a much bigger picture.
Only you and the HeraVita research team. Your results are delivered to your private and personal HeraVita profile and are not visible to other participants or shared with external parties outside the purposes described in our consent form.
Your data is held across several secure platforms. We’re required under Australian privacy law to disclose when data is stored or accessible overseas, so here is a full list:
- Body scan data: stored by our scanning technology provider on Amazon Web Services servers located in South Korea.
- Contact information, survey responses, and scan results: stored in our systems: Shopify (USA/Canada), Klaviyo (USA), Typeform (USA/EU), Make.com (EU/USA), and Acuity Scheduling (USA).
Each platform operates under its own data protection standards. We have agreements in place with our key vendors to ensure your data is handled appropriately.
We will not sell your individual personal or body measurement data.
Your individual HeraVita data remains private and is handled in accordance with our privacy and research consent arrangements.
HeraVita may use de-identified, aggregated data from our research to develop insights about women’s bodies, sizing, fit and related areas. These aggregated insights may be used commercially, shared with research or industry partners, or licensed in the future.
Aggregated data is designed to describe patterns across groups of women, not to identify you or disclose your individual measurements or responses.
We retain your data only for as long as it is needed to fulfil the research purposes described above, and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. You can request deletion at any time.
Yes, at any time. Email us at info@heravita.com.au and we will remove your information from all systems we control and request deletion of your scan records from our scanning technology provider. We will confirm deletion across all platforms within 3 business days.
Yes, at any time and without needing to give a reason. Simply contact us and we’ll remove you from all communications and delete your data on request. Withdrawing has no negative consequences.
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections if anything is inaccurate, and lodge a complaint if you believe your privacy has been mishandled. To make any such request, email us at info@heravita.com.au.
